Bilga is the largest village in Jalandhar district and is about 35 kilometers (22 miles) from Jalandhar city. It is well known for its historical Gurudwara associated with Guru Arjan Dev (the 5th Sikh Guru) and is divided in seven sub parts (patti's). It is surrounded by lush green fields and quite well developed as compared to surrounding areas. Having all basic amenities services Bilga shows a complete picture of Punjabi culture. Bilga is also so well developed because of a lots of NRI people.
