Kala Afghana is a large village in Tehsil Batala, Gurdaspur District, Punjab State, India. It has a Population of about 15,000 people. There are two major religions of the residents, Sikhs (with two Gurudwaras) and Christians (with two churches).

Education

It has a Government (Guru Nanak) College,[2] High and Primary Schools and some private schools.

Transport

It has approach roads from Amritsar (25 km), Batala (15 km), FatehGarh Churian (7 km) and Dhianpur [Kotli Suratmali] (5 km).
